INFORMATION & INITIAL CONSULTATION

If you are considering starting psychotherapy, please find out in advance whether your private health insurance or grant will cover the costs. Please make an appointment for an initial consultation in my practice during the telephone office hours or by e-mail. In an initial consultation, we have enough time to discuss your concerns, your current symptoms and your wishes for the therapy. I will then give you an initial diagnostic assessment based on the symptoms described. Finally, we talk about the joint further procedure and possible follow-up appointments. Patient information

THERAPY COSTS IN THIS PRIVATE PRACTICE

PRIVATE INSURANCE:
The costs of psychotherapy are based on the General Fee Schedule for Psychotherapists (GOP/GOÄ), which was adjusted on July 1, 2024, as part of joint billing recommendations by the coalition of the Federal Medical Association (BÄK), the Federal Statutory Health Insurance Association (BPtK), the Private Health Insurance Association (PKV-Verband), and subsidies. These rates are covered by private health insurance, but the factors can vary depending on the service (usually between 1.8 and 3.5 times the factor). In individual cases, additional payments may therefore be required. Please inform yourself in advance about the exact terms and conditions of your private health insurance provider and/or subsidy. The subsidy typically covers 50% of the psychotherapy costs incurred.
SELF-PAYERS:
If you choose to pay for therapy yourself, it will not be recorded by your insurance company. For self-payers, the costs are also calculated according to the current GOP/GOÄ (General Fees for Psychotherapy). In my practice, the costs are currently 126,02€ per session, which result from the combination of GOP-Position 861 and 801a, each with 2,3-factor. If there is the need for additional diagnostics, these costs will be added (i.e. GOP-position 855 or 857). The same goes for additional positions, i.e. for psychological reports, etc. Psychotherapy can be claimed for tax purposes as an extraordinary expense under "other health expenses" within the limits of a reasonable burden. In any case, you will be billed monthly for services. The payment deadline is 14 days.

Coaching costs €130 for 50 minutes or €200 for 90 minutes, which includes VAT but is not covered by health insurance.

The cost of couples therapy is €150 for 60 minutes and €250 for 90 minutes. Individual sessions are also possible in this setting if needed (60 minutes at €130; 90 minutes at €200). Couples therapy is also not covered by health insurance.

REIMBURSEMENT PROCEDURE with statutory health insurance:
Statutory health insurance companies only cover the costs via the so-called reimbursement procedures. So everything we arrange needs to first be applied for and accepted by the health insurance to make sure they cover the costs.
For a first on-site consultation and the possibility to get to know each other in person (about 45 minutes), I allow myself to charge a processing fee of 80 €. If you have any questions about the application process, please email me before booking an appointment.

CANCELLATION FEE

Dates agreed in advance are binding. If no cancellation is made 48 hours (2 working days) before the agreed appointment, I take the liberty of charging a cancellation fee of €80 privately. You can cancel appointments by phone, SMS or email.
